Students spent the period in the library working on the Time 100 project.  The project due date will be Friday, May 18th at the beginning of your class period.

  1. In period 1, students watched a portion of Approaching the Apocalypse from The Century video series.  If you have a cleared, excused absence, you will be excused from the assignment.
  2. In period 3, students completed the movie The Long Walk Home and we had a brief discussion of the use of the n-word.

  1. In period 3 ONLY, students took the post-test version of the test they took in the fall for the Teaching American History grant.  If you were absent, no make-up is necessary; it was not for a grade.
  2. In both classes, students watched a portion of the film, The Long Walk Home.  We will continue with it on Friday.

  2. Notes on gains of the civil rights movement.  Copy from a classmate if you were absent.
  3. Video:  The Century--Unpinned, 1965-1970.  Print out the questions and view the video below.  Note there is one brief scene of graphic violence in Vietnam.
