1. Began an activity examining whether or not gains have been made by minority groups in the US in various areas.  We will continue the activity Thursday.

Students watched the final portion of The Century--Approaching the Apocalypse.  If you have a cleared, excused absence, you do not need to make it up.

Time 100 List

Students spent the period in the library working on the Time 100 project.  The project due date will be Friday, May 18th at the beginning of your class period.

1. In period 1, students watched a portion of Approaching the Apocalypse from The Century video series.  If you have a cleared, excused absence, you will be excused from the assignment.
2. In period 3, students completed the movie The Long Walk Home and we had a brief discussion of the use of the n-word.

Today we selected our person from the Time 100 list. Check out the list of people here, then review the Powerpoint presentation below to see the guidelines for the assignment. We will be in the library on Thursday to conduct research for the project.

1. In period 3 ONLY, students took the post-test version of the test they took in the fall for the Teaching American History grant.  If you were absent, no make-up is necessary; it was not for a grade.
