Today in class we discussed Mikhail Gorbachev and his ideas that contributed to the fall of the Soviet Union.  Students then completed a matching activity entitled The Collapse of the Soviet Union.

• In class using the textbook, students researched the 5 key documents that could show up on the STAR test.  Write 1-2 sentences about what the document stated.  Students started in class and need to finish it at home and turn it in on Tuesday.

Welcome back!  We're getting down to the final 9 weeks of school--let's finish strong!

1. Reviewed foundations of the Cold War.  
2. Notes:  how the US kept communism from spreading (copy from a classmate if you were absent)
1. NATO
2. Korean War
3. Worksheet:  Korea & Vietnam .  Students began the worksheet in class and should finish it at home.  It is due tomorrow (Wednesday).
4. Make up for the World War II test (taken March 28) will be this Thursday, April 12 in my classroom at lunch for anyone who was absent on March 28th.
