Also the most comprehensive and authoritative website I've found on the D-Day Invasion of World War II has to be this site from Britannica. Stuffed full of interactive charts, maps, animation, and vintage photographs, it can keep a researcher busy for days. I would STRONGLY recommend this site for D-Day research.
